La Dirección de Inteligencia Nacional fue reemplazada por la Central nacional de Inteligencia. El Decreto Ley Nº521 que creó la DINA terminó y cambió a Ley Decreto Nº1.878 a crear la CNI. La CNI va a continuar legalmente lo mismo que DINA. CNI funcionará a reunir y procesar todas las informaciones en un nivel nacional.
